Princess Power!

Bonus territory! That's right, this is our third posting of the day...today is our 5th wedding anniversary! It's been an exciting adventure to say the least...we managed to go to Olive Garden and take it somewhat easy.

Kim purchased some inexpensive princess tiara's for the Princesses...the girls looked pretty cute!  Here's Princess Addyson working it...

Hi Addyson...

Amelia, looking oh so comfortable on the table with her wand...

Look Addyson, look!!!

They are so adorable...what's going to work?  TEAM WORK --- Together - Everyone - Accomplishes - More ---> TEAM.

They were still walking around with these today [Kim got them Thursday or Friday]...

Of course I got some flowers for Kim for our anniversary, and I had to get some for the Princesses too!

I think Princess Amelia approves...

Addyson...man oh man that girl loves her flowers --- I almost bought some to plant for her at Lowe's today.

Okay...this pic for some reason just reorients itself when I post it --- and I cannot manage to correct the reorientation, but it's cute.  I took this tonight after we put our two Princesses to bed [yee-ha!].  They fell asleep as I read a Dora the Explorer book to them [I almost fell asleep too].

 Night-night Princess Amelia...

Night-night Princess Addyson...

Happy Anniversary QT....will love you forever!

Keep Springing!

Go to the previous post first --- then look at this one!

Again, here's Addyson and Grandpa Futey walking to the minivan.

The old Jack in the Box -- still gets the laughs.

Hold on tight!

Peek-a-Boo!

Nice shades Addyson...

"No, that way mommy!"

Cute, aren't they?

Amelia...

So cute...

She must practice at night...

Amelia describes teh names of the character on the couch to Grandma Futey.

Smile...

[again, she must practice these faces]

Yes?

Attack mommy!

That's chocolate on her lip, not blood [this time].

Grandpa Futey dares to enter the fracas...

This is Addyson enroute to deliver a hug at full speed to me..

This was the night before my parents left...and hence were saying goodnight and goodbye to Addyson...

Amelia...silly kid.

Here's Amelia's goodbye shot...

You know, it's pretty hard putting your little Princess on the bus...especially when she delivers hugs like this one.

Smile for mommy...

Off she goes...

What a mess...

Here are the girls at Wright-Patterson AFB [assaulting Kim] and preparing to see something quite historic...

Amelia, tip-toeing through the grass to pick the perfect 'flowers' for us...

There goes Addyson...

Addyson checking out the airplanes overhead....

Addyson checks the strength of the fence line adjacent to the airfield...

She loved it...

Grandpa Futey gets back to work helping Amelia with her puzzles...

...it was a good team building exercise...

"No Grandma, like this..."

Amelia's 'friends'...

Okay, one kiss...

Grandpa Futey gets to work again, this time with Addyson...

Not sure who's concentrating more here...

Still going...it's a another great duo getting the job done.

Amelia and Grandma Futey color...

Nice cow Grandma and Grandpa Futey...

The other First Lady, at the National Museum of the Air Force aboard a former Air Force One.

The historic event I referred to earlier, was the flyover of some 20 B-25s at WPAFB, the largest since WWII to commemorate the Doolittle Raid anniversary [this pic is of the lead B-25 rolling for takeoff for the fly over].  On 18 Apr 1942, 16 brave crews [5-person crews] did the impossible in the aftermath of America's darkest hour...against all odds, these crews launched their landed based, medium range B-25Bs from the deck of the USS Hornet --- an undertaking amazing on its own accord.  Moreover, they launched 400 miles earlier than planned due to a possible mission compromise.  All craft successfully took off and struck primary or alternate targets in Japan...they raised the spirits of America, emboldened our fighting forces and stunned the Japanese, who thought it was impossible [damned right they did it!].  Two raiders drowned upon ditching their aircraft at sea, 8 were captured by the Japanese, three executed, the remainder were repatriated to the US through China and returned to fight in WWII.  Of those who returned to combat, some 25 died throughout WWII [six became POWs in Europe], and today only five raiders survive [four were able to make it to the reunion and toasted their comrades who are no longer among us]. The flyover and turnout for these brave men was amazing...take five minutes of your time and look up the Doolittle Raiders, and remember what they did knowing the risks involved and savor the freedoms you have because of men like Jimmy Doolittle and his crews.

Lastly, here we are before my parents left...thanks for coming out --- it was a ncie visit and we never get to see you enough [or you all the girls].

Big smiles....
